Sister Other Paranoia Routes

Why this page exists

Sister Other Paranoia is not a kinetic novel with a single hallway. After the prologue, play splits into five scenarios you can enter in almost any order. Launch reviews (NookGaming, CrazyGameCommunity) and the published walkthrough agree on the same skeleton: five motifs, four chapters apiece, four endings at the far side. This page explains that skeleton so you can navigate the motif screen without opening a spoiler chart.

If you want the exact ending clicks, use the labeled Walkthrough. If you want the moral weight of mind-reading prompts, stay on Mind Reading and Choices. This routes article is the middle layer: structure, locks, and pacing.

The game is a classic full-screen visual novel from HazeDenki (nyalra on scenario and direction) published by Serenity Forge, unlocked on Steam on August 14, 2026. Official copy still describes the loop as read, click, and vibe. Routes do not add combat or a day planner; they add a board of symbols you return to between chapters.

Prologue, then the motif board

The opening stretch is linear. It teaches the NVL presentation—text covering the frame, right-click to hide it—and introduces Hasuya’s hypersensitivity before the award-and-envy spiral fully lands. Game*Spark’s pre-release hands-on also noted that an early sequence can already show mind-reading used to push someone toward a fall. Treat the prologue as a tone check, not as a throwaway tutorial. Comfort pages: Content Warnings and Getting Started.

When the prologue ends you reach a selection screen. The game shows motif images, not typed route titles. Community guides label them for convenience:

  • Bat
  • Caterpillar
  • Monkey
  • Ring
  • Fox

Selecting a motif starts one chapter of that scenario, then returns you to the board. Completing the fourth chapter cracks the icon so that scenario is done. You can mix motifs freely for most of the run. That freedom is the design: Hasuya’s social world is a set of relationships you can pick at, not a numbered episode list.

What a scenario actually is

Each scenario is four chapters about the end of Hasuya’s relationship with particular people in his circle. Reviews describe eight main characters including Hasuya and Sahana; the five scenarios are the places those supporting lives get dissected. This wiki names the public cast on Characters—Hasuya (蓮也), Sahana (沙華), Igusa (伊草), Tenjiku Botan (天竺 牡丹), Hiyakawa (冷川)—and refuses to invent a full motif-to-cast table beyond what walkthroughs explicitly attach (Caterpillar’s late prompt names Igusa).

Chapters are short. Combined with 20 Ohisashiburi CGs and five guest-artist animations noted in the NookGaming review, the package is built for a single evening. Do not expect a 30-hour route dungeon. Expect concentrated conversations, symbolic borders around the NVL text, and music cues from Aiobahn +81 that tell you which social “color” you are sitting in. Soundtrack context: Soundtrack.

Presentation matters for routing because the board is visual. If you hide text often (the marketed right-click habit—see Controls), learn the cracked-icon look so you do not replay a finished motif by accident.

The one hard lock: Ring’s finale

You can start Ring earlier, but Ring’s fourth chapter stays closed until you have cleared the fourth chapters of Bat, Caterpillar, Monkey, and Fox. That is the only structural gate this wiki treats as confirmed. It is why “I finished four icons and nothing happens” threads usually resolve as “Ring 4 is still locked.”

Plan your last honest chapter for Ring. If you are hunting the Monkey ending described on the Walkthrough, do that before you crack the other fourth chapters. Otherwise play in whatever emotional order you want—jealous friend, club senior, social-media acquaintance, sister-adjacent quiet—and save Ring for last.

How routes feed endings (no click list)

Four endings sit on top of this board:

  • An abrupt early end tied to a late Caterpillar prompt
  • An alternative Monkey end tied to a third-chapter line if you have not opened other fourth chapters
  • A Normal end after every scenario is cracked, via a center-of-board interaction
  • A True end after Normal, via a title-screen interaction

Those sentences are enough to know that “100%” means more than one sitting with the same save. The click-by-click list belongs on the walkthrough so this page can stay usable during a blind-ish run. Choices repeats the other important rule: most dialogue options do not change the ending.

How to use the board without optimizing the soul out of it

  1. Read the prologue slowly. It sets whether you can stand the voice.
  2. Pick the motif that matches your curiosity, not a guide’s first bullet, unless you are already completionist.
  3. Save before fourth chapters. They are where early-outs live.
  4. Leave Ring 4 for last unless you are only sampling.
  5. Do not invent flags. There is no public affection meter to farm.

If you came from NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD, the board will feel oddly gentle: no stress numbers, no stream schedule. The pressure is literary. Recalibrate with From NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD and How to Play.

Demo versus full game

A Discord demo circulated before launch (see Demo and Discord). Game*Spark’s test build included parts of four routes, not the finished five-scenario board. Do not treat demo chapter counts as the product. The shipping game is the five-motif, twenty-chapter (5×4) structure plus prologue and ending gates.

Routes in Sister Other Paranoia are a circle of symbols, not a skill tree. Walk the circle once for the story; walk it again only if you still want the four doors on the other side.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many routes does Sister Other Paranoia have?

Five scenarios after the prologue, shown as Bat, Caterpillar, Monkey, Ring, and Fox motifs. Each has four chapters.

Can I play the scenarios in any order?

Almost. You can mix motifs freely, but Ring’s fourth chapter unlocks only after the other four finales.

Do routes equal endings?

No. Scenarios feed a board. Four endings sit on top of that board. See the Walkthrough for the gates.

Is the Discord demo the same structure?

No. Pre-release hands-on builds showed partial routes. The full game uses five motifs and four chapters each.
